Fundraising Candle Collection ChoicesTo totally customize your candle fundraiser your group chooses two jars in either of the following collections. Currently we offer two programs that have been welcomed with overwhelming success. The first is the Primitive Collection and is the most sought after program we offer. The second program is the Classic Country Collection and contains apothecary candle jars. Both programs offer you your choice of ten different scents and two different jars for you to choose for your fundraiser. Yes, you choose your own 10 scents and your own two jars to totally customize YOUR fundraiser.
This is by far the most popular of the programs we have available. Your organization chooses two of the following three primitive jar choices. Your first choice is a 4 oz Jelly jar. This is our most popular size candle. It's the perfect size to enable your customers to purchase in quantity. Your second choice is a 8 oz Square Mason jar. A great reproduction of the old time mason jars. Both the jelly and the square mason come topped with a primitive zinc colored lid. Your third choice is a 16 oz Apothecary jar with a black tin lid with a handle on top. Choosing your own jars gives your organization great flexibility with a Candles by Kathy Fundraiser.
Classic Country CollectionOur Classic Country Collection includes your choice of 2 of the following 3 classic country jar choices. The first is a 5 oz Apothecary jar topped with a black tin lid. HOW WE DO A FUNDRAISER
When you decide to let Candles by Kathy help your organization raise funds we take the guess work out of what comes next. We will provide samples if desired at discounted pricing. The forms come ready to use, as we like to keep our fund-raiser as easy for you as possible. In addition to the brochure, we suggest that you include information concerning your fundraising effort. This ensures sellers and parents understand when the sale starts, when the sale ends, when the order forms and money need to be turned back in to leader, incentives and delivery date and time for pick up. The more your supporters know about your organization and Candles by Kathy, the more comfortable they will feel ordering.
If you wish to purchase a sampler set of our candles for display, these are offered at a discounted price. We offer samples in your choice of jars with either collection. The price varies depending on which program and which jars you choose. Prices are listed in the shopping cart after you sign your online contract and choose your scents and jar choices. You choose your ten scents and we will fill 5 of each of your jar choices in your scents. You will end up with a sample of each of the scents you have chosen. One (1) each per fragrance you have selected.
You will find that you will get many more orders when you have the items to display. This allows people to view the candle sizes, colors, packaging, and of course to smell! Since our candles are in glassware, it could prove dangerous to carry samples. We suggest that the sellers (or parents of the sellers if they are children) view the samples so they may help their friends and family choose the candle that they would enjoy.
We allow two weeks for sellers to take orders, unless other arrangements are made. All funds should be collected at time of order, and are the responsibility of the seller and/or the seller's parent(s). The Sellers are given an end date to give orders and money to the fundraising coordinator. The fundraising coordinator then turns in one complete order with payment to Candles by Kathy. Use our Tally Sheet (provided in your packet) to total your product order as well as your percentage of the total sales. Please do not send us the original order forms.
The best advice is for your organization to set a profit goal. (How much money do you need?)Too many organizations never know how much money they need and then hope for the best.
The average profit you will be earning is $4.00 per candle. (Profit ranges from $2.00 - $6.80 per candle).
A plan of action will make your fund-raiser a success. Let each seller know how many candles he/she needs to sell to reach the Goal and then reward them for reaching it.
An average order is generally around 10 candles per seller, however there will of course be orders that come in lower or higher. For example, if you have just 100 sellers with an average of 10 candles per seller, that would be 1000 candles. That would net your organization $2300-$6800 profit depending on which program and size of candles that are sold! You have the potential to make an incredible profit with more sellers or even a small team of highly motivated sellers.
RECEIVING YOUR CANDLES
It just keeps getting easier! When you have placed your order you will be given an Estimated Date of Delivery. This date is usually 2-3 weeks after the order is finalized. You receive your candles via UPS if you are outside our delivery area. We pay shipping on all orders over $1000 (not including your profit). That is right, we pay the shipping!
